Berry Flognarde

“A flognarde (flow-nyard) is a custardy French dessert of fruit baked in a batter that most resembles the mix you would use to make crepes.” I used blueberries to make my flognarde. I had previously made a cherry clafoutis (a tart of fruit, typically cherries, baked in a sweet batter) and I am not sure of the difference between the two. I dusted the dessert with powdered sugar per Dorie’s suggestion before serving. This was enjoyed by all but does not change my opinion of not liking eggy desserts. 1. This is a good looking dessert. The closeup shot is especially stunning. I like most custards/cakes with blueberries. However, a cherry clafoutis made right is hard to beat.

Well, I know what you mean about not liking a certain food…I’m the pickiest at that, so I get you on that…BUT, that said, this is absolutely gorgeous, and if you didn’t fall in love with it, I did just at your photo! Beautiful bake.
