Butter-Poached Corn with Egg Noodles

Corn and pasta is not a combination I have had before and summer is a great time to try it. Corn is still in full swing and the ears I bought were sweet. I bought egg wide noodles but Dorie’s photo looks like fettuccini. I served my dish with a dollop of sour cream, my husband does not like sour cream so he put some heavy cream on his portion. I had basil on my windowsill so that is the herb I used. We enjoyed this dish but were not blown away. And despite what Dorie says our leftovers were just fine, the butter did not separate.   3. I had never heard of having corn and pasta together either! It seemed a weird mixture, but was good! Fun for all of us to try!
