Cooking with Tessa Kiros

This month’s featured chef on I Heart Cooking Clubs is Tessa Kiros.  This is a new chef for me which is one reason I love this cooking group. We are always changing chefs and I am always learning more. Since I did not have time to go to my local library for one of her cookbooks I used the link provided on the home page. I chose a couple of recipes from the links provided and here is what I made.

Pear and Blueberry Crisp adapted from Apples for Jam by Tessa Kiros. I found the recipe on Kim’s blog Stirring the Pot. I initially thought there was too much topping but when it came out of the oven it looked perfect. The pears were crisp and not too soft and it tasted delicious. I would make this again.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Chocolate Cranberry Cookies adapted from Apples for Jam. This recipe came from Donna at Our Forest Haven. My husband declared them delicious.

Two delicious desserts from Tessa Kiros cookbook Apples for Jam. I will definitely have to check out this cookbook and look forward to cooking more from her books. To see what other made go here.

Yes, I remember that pear and blueberry crisp and it was absolutely delicious. Your version is making me hungry for it all over again, and the good news is I have all the ingredients to make it! Hooray! Those chocolate cranberry cookies are delicious too. I love how puffy and big they are. Yum!
