Fall is coming, fall is coming, … I keep telling myself this as I am sick of the heat and humidity. Being a California girl I am not used to this weather. Any who, I chose this recipe since I have a bag of wheat bran that I have been wanting to use up and we happen to like bran muffins. Channeling autumn flavors I decided to go with the cranberries as my fruit addition. This was a big recipe as I got 14 muffins using my silicon muffin pad. I topped my muffins with turbinado sugar which we liked. These were tasty and moist muffins and I would make them again. The only drawback with this recipe is having all your ingredients room temperature which makes it tricky for breakfast. To see what others thought head over to Tuesdays with Dorie.

Beautiful!

Back again…trying to get my comments to go through so if you end up with 16 of them, you know the problem. LOL. Love your muffins, they look so pretty and I’m in love with that plate, dish, basket, whatever that is that they are sitting upon. I will try the cranberry version soon (Kristin used apricots and I’m thinking the combination of apricots and cranberries for a holiday muffin for overnight guests would be very welcome). Really, am in love with that basket weave the muffins are sitting upon.

Oh Happy Autumn lol !! It always was my favorite time of year and I am really ready for it this year. I did the raisin addition for the same reason you did the cranberry (if I had those in my fridge I’d have used the) and was almost surprised at how much we ended up enjoying these “healthy” muffins.

Cranberries are a great addition for fall baking. (It’s been hot and humid here in SoCal for weeks, but it’s finally cooling off.) And, turbinado sugar for the win!
