Steph’s Bakewell Tart

Wow was this good. I have never had a Bakewell Tart before and I am so happy that Steph shared her recipe with Dorie. I think this is a mash-up of a dessert; tart shell, jam and cake on top. A bonus of this dessert is that it is made with almond flour which I have a lot of. I used raspberry jam seedless of course and the optional sliced almonds. This was a winner with my husband too who loves jam and almonds. I will be making this recipe again. To see what others thought head over to Tuesdays with Dorie.

It is said this dish was a „mistake“ from an unexperienced cook of the White Horse Inn in Bakewell. She made a tart instead of a pudding. Looks great

Your photo of that piece of tart is gorgeous. We liked this, too, and it was fun to make something I had never eaten, let alone made.
