Our second assignment for Baking with Dorie are these lovely English Muffins. I have never made English Muffins before but my husband had. We teamed up to make these since it was quite the process. We made these all in one day but probably should have stretched it out over two, we were grilling English Muffins at 9 O’clock at night. Normally I decrease the liquids in my baked goods but in this recipe I should not have. I think they came out a little dry and I had trouble getting them into balls, hence the odd shapes. They crisped up nice in the toaster the next day for breakfast. To see what others thought head over to Tuesdays with Dorie.
I made the dough in the evening, and finished them next morning. Worked good for us.
Your pics are great

Good to know re: timing. Also: I don’t have a griddle (you do? do lots of people? I have never thought of this!). What did they look like on the inside? Excited to try my hand at these!

Yours are the English Muffins with personality! They look delicious to me. I had a giggle over you grilling them at 9 p.m., that would so be me most of the time. lol
