From chef Giada De Laurentiis, a fan favorite recipe according to Food Network, these lasagna rolls. I needed a dish to bring to work for a potluck and these individually rolled lasagna sounded perfect. This recipe is just as much work as a traditional lasagna but I thought well worth the effort. The bottom layer is a bechamel sauce. The cooked lasagna noodles are spread with ricotta, spinach, Parmesan, egg, salt and pepper, then rolled up. I left out the prosciutto as my co-worker was vegetarian. The rolls are topped with a marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese. The dish bakes for approximately 35 minutes (longer if refrigerated over night like mine was) and served with additional marinara sauce. These went over well with the crowd, quickly disappearing. I picked this recipe because I could assemble it in advance and I cooked it the day of the event. I took a picture at home uncooked knowing that I would forget the day of and I did:) The recipe is available on the Food Network website. To see what others made this week head over to I Heart Cooking Clubs.
I have made these rolls before and they were a big hit. I bet everyone at worked loved them. They look so pretty all rolled up!
