Taking inspiration from French Fridays with Dorie, I made a list ‘of best’ of Baking with Dorie. I tried to make a top 10 but that was too few so I went with just a list of my family’s favorites. Some of these recipes I have made more than once and others were deemed restaurant worthy. Let me know some of your favorites.

A big thank you to Steph who has been a fearless leader guiding us through another Dorie book. I am very grateful that she has kept our little group of bandits together. Thank you Steph!
On to the Lisbon cake. Our final recipe of the book and my husband deemed it restaurant worthy. He also stated this should replace my standard cake recipe, a compliment indeed. Dorie describes the layers as a brownie-like cake, a whipped chocolate ganache like a mousse, and a dusting of cocoa. These three layers sure worked for us. This is a rich cake so small portions are appreciated. The cake froze well too so we could thaw a quarter at a time. To see what others thought head over to Tuesdays with Dorie.
