Three-Way Sugar-Cone Pizzelles

I put my husband in charge of this one for two reasons: first he is the official waffle maker of the family (this is a fancy waffle maker) and two he is an engineer. His previous experience with the waffle maker proved valuable and his meticulous engineering brain molded those cones with precision. Win-win in my book. He did a great job rolling the cones but the bottoms do not make a tight seal like Cakelaw said. My husband fixed that by melting some chocolate and plugging up the whole. We were unable to eat these the day they were made and they got a little soft overnight. These did not crisp up like I thought they would. I think the recipe needs a little fiddling for us, my husband thinks the batter is too thick. Another project for another day. To see what others thought head over to Tuesdays with Dorie.

  1. These LOOK amazing! I got my hands on a 5€ waffle maker at a yard sale here in France and will be attempting these tonight – not sure how it’s going to go but I will have a try!!
