The first time this cheesecake came up for a vote, it did not win. The irony is that I was given a bag of tangerines after it lost. But here we are now making it. I did not recognize the recipe until I started making it. This is the same cheesecake recipe I got form Dorie’s website called Light and Springy, Creamy and Great Cheesecake. It is by far my favorite cheesecake recipe. I usually serve the cheesecake with mixed berries but this version goes on the orange side. I added the zest of 3 Clementine’s and used the optional orange extract. We all enjoyed this orange twist to our already favorite cheesecake. To see what others thought head over to Cook the Book Fridays.
that’s funny…i was the one who nominated it last month when it lost, and it was because i had a bunch of tangerines in the fridge! i made it anyway and took photos for when it eventually became the group pick. i see why you like the recipe so much, and i’ll make it again for berry season, too.

I am glad you nominated this cheesecake. When there are tangerines around, this cheesecake is a matter of waiting to get it to set. It’s so easy to like.

I can see why it is a family favorite…everyone here loved it as well! No one had cheesecake with oranges before and they thought it was a great match!
