Friendship cookies AKA rugelach are a cream cheese and butter dough filled with dried fruit, jam, nuts and chocolate. We have baked rugelach cookies before; this is the same recipe as in Baking From My Home to Yours and Rugelach That Won Over France from Baking Chez Moi. I haven’t met a rugelach that I didn’t like. I do like easy recipes and this one fit that bill. I used raisins as my dried fruit, strawberry jam, mini chocolate chips and half received chopped pecans. I made this same recipe a couple years ago when I was craving rugelach and I am glad that I got a chance to make them again. To see what others thought head over to Tuesdays with Dorie.
Yours look lovely! I wondered if this was the same recipe as the other books because I struggled with that one! Need to go bak an re-read my posts from before to see what i need to to get get beautiful rugelach like yours!

I wondered what the friendship cookies were – good to know in advance. I like the taste of rugelach but I am rubbish at making them. Yours do look good.
