When I joined the group, only two desserts had been made so it was an easy catch-up for me. This was the remaining dessert I had not made. Now that it is fall and apples are in season I decided to make this warm and cozy dessert. This was not our favorite, we enjoy a classic crisp instead of this custard version but it did not stop us from eating it and ala mode too.
