
This week at I Heart Cooking Clubs we were tasked with making Summer Sunday Suppers. There is nothing quite like strawberry shortcake for a summer dessert. The fresh strawberries are at their pique of ripeness and coolness of the whipped cream are a perfect combination. I made Ruth Reichl’s Strawberry Shortcake from My Kitchen Year. I used the cookie cutter method to make my shortcakes and froze the extras that way I could have fresh when needed. I urge you to make this quintessential summer dessert before the strawberries are gone.
Strawberry shortcake is the very best and this looks perfectly light and luscious. I love that you thought to make a summery dessert. We definitely need to take time out to celebrate all the fruits of summer!
