Happy Thanksgiving to those of you who celebrate. I made these green beans germolata for my Thanksgiving table. We were in a rush to sit down for dinner so food styling did not happen for this dish.
This is a pretty straight forward recipe. Blanch the beans in boiling water for 2-3 minutes. Plunge into an ice bath to preserve color. Saute the beans in a little olive oil until cooked and hot. Then add the gremolata. The gremolata is a mixture of lemon rind, minced garlic, minced flat leaf parsley, Parmesan cheese and pine nuts. This is the second recipe that Ina has taught me to spruce up my green beans. The freshness of the lemon rind was a welcome addition to my meal. The recipe is available from Food Network and Barefoot Contessa.

I'm impressed that you were able to take a picture at all! Whew, I get stressed out putting together any big family meal and everyone is usually in the kitchen staring me down. Kudos to you for taking the time to snap this. This looks, and sounds, like a tasty version. I've had sliced almonds with green beans but never pine nuts and I have to say I know I'd love this.

Green beans are one of our favorite. You took them up a notch by adding the gremolata. Yum!

This sounds like something we'd like. I think the addition of pine nuts would be very good.
