French Fridays – Goat Cheese and Strawberry Tartine

Around My French Table by Dorie Greenspan

I had some extra goat cheese left over and I saw this recipe and thought it would work perfect. I picked up some fresh sourdough bread and strawberries and made myself some lunch. Dorie uses her baguettes fresh but I decided to toast my bread. The goat cheese goes on followed by the sliced strawberries. I used the optional balsamic vinegar but skipped the ground pepper.

What’s not to like? It was delicious. My husband saw my lunch and asked for one too. I had used all the goat cheese but he made one with cream cheese instead. When there is a will, there is a way. This will make a nice summer lunch again.
