
Our latest bake from Dorie’s Anytime Cakes is this Berry Yogurt Cake, the perfect summertime cake. I used fresh raspberries and blueberries as my fruit options. We were invited to a brunch and I decided to make this as my option. Since it was traveling I opted not to glaze it and top with extra fruit. Despite its plain appearance it was received well by the group. The yogurt makes it a moist cake and the fruit adds a brightness. I used the zest of a whole lemon and everyone could taste the flavor and liked it. Based on the warm reviews this is a make again recipe. To see what others think head over to Tuesdays with Dorie.

I seem to remember Dorie having some cakes she called “travel cakes” or “weekend cakes” or something like that. this is a perfect one to add to that category!
