The Daily Bread: White Bread Edition

We are making bread this week on Tuesdays with Dorie. From her cookbook Baking with Dorie, she says this is the recipe to start with when beginning to make bread.

I seem to only make bread when it is assigned and I don’t know why. This recipe was easy to follow and with good results. My husband enjoyed his daily bread and it is good as French toast. I look forward to making more bread as we finish up her book.

To see what others thought head over to Tuesdays with Dorie.

Your bread is beautiful, inside and out. It looks so nice sliced that way on your board (and such a beautiful board as well). Mine was a bit lopsided so I just sliced the whole thing up, threw it on the board and shot a photo as proof that I had actually done something. Lopsided does not affect the taste in case you were wondering. Outstanding beauty in your photo this week, so pretty.
