Orange Spice Cake

Our last bake of 2024 for Tuesdays with Dorie baking group. This was an easy recipe to wrap up the year. My husband gandered at the recipe and frowned at the cardamom and ginger, not his favorite flavors so I put him in charge of the spices. I was baking this cake for him and my son to take with them back up to San Francisco. Since this cake was traveling we decided not to put the marmalade on top, my husband said he would just add it when he got there. I asked how they liked the cake, I didn’t get to try any, and they said fine. The two of them are fixing a house up so baking was not on their mind.   2. I think your loaf turned out great and would gladly try a slice! Smart not to add the marmalade…although it was a great addition it wouldn’t have traveled well haha. Happy New Year!!
