Potato Flake Biscuits

Being a kid in the 1970s I was well aware of the boxed instant mashed potatoes, I knew where to head in the grocery store. Even with this knowledge I had trouble finding them, I guess there are not ‘en vogue’ any more. Any who on to the biscuits…

My son and husband enjoyed these dinner biscuits with the addition of sauted onions and potato flakes. I on the other hand did not prefer them not due to taste but due to texture. I thought they came out a little too moist and dense for my taste. To see what others thought, head over to Tuesdays with Dorie.

Well they certainly don’t look anything but wonderful…the texture and the height are really nice. I liked the crunch on the outside, Mark liked it all, I had a bite and he had the remaining biscuits. I guess that means it was a success. Yours really do look nice.

  3. From the look of these biscuits in the pictures, they are perfect and tall with visible layers. Yes, there are pockets of sticky potato inside. Nonetheless, your biscuits are lovely.
