I am back from my lovely two week vacation in New England and Canada. Hi Mardi! Quebec was probably my favorite city. I was in part of the country that actually had fall weather, winter more like it, it snowed in Quebec the first day we were there.
I am looking forward to fall baking, starting with this Pecan-Cranberry loaf from Baking with Dorie. This loaf cake comes together easily which made for good baking post vacation. My husband almost finished the loaf by himself. I enjoyed it but wanted more cranberries. To see what others thought head over to Tuesdays with Dorie.

What a beautiful photo of the two of you. Oh…I’m here about the bread which looks beautiful and delicious and absolutely perfect. Now about that photo of you in Quebec…so lovely. I love Quebec…I have carefully planned never to be there in winter as I’m not a fan of winter, but maybe I should go very early in November and get the sense of it…such a wonderful old city, surrounding areas. Great job on the bread.

Look at that snow in October! Such a nice picture and great to get away for such a long time! Haven’t been to that part of Canada, but we love the New England states in the fall!! This was a good bake to come home too…easy and delicious!!

I love New England, Quebec, fall, winter, snow and pecan-cranberry loaf — the whole deal. Yes, more cranberries work also.
