Sour Cream-Everything Seed Knots

Part two of our sour cream puff dough challenge. Since I love everything bagels, I have had my eye on this recipe for some time. Dorie states “These cookies give the everything bagel a run for its money”, I am on the right track.

I was more successful with rolling this dough the second time around and my Trader Joe’s seed mixture stayed in place better than the sugar did with the caramel sugar pufflets. The twisting portion of these was a little tricky. I just twisted one side only and that seemed to work for me. My husband said these would be great with wine and cheese which Steph mentioned too. I thought these were best right out of the oven as they were crispy. One of the down sides of puff pastry is it gets soft within a few hours. These are best served the day of baking as Dorie states. I am happy I have tackled puff pastry but I don’t see myself making either one any time soon. To see what others thought head over to Tuesdays with Dorie.

Your knots are perfect. I liked these savoury ones – I might revisit them again sometime.
