Chocolate Chip Not-Quite Mandelbrot

I am always baking for two families so I made a full recipe. I was pretty sure all would love this one since we all enjoy chocolate. This was a fairly easy recipe as it can be whipped up in one bowl. A full recipe requires three logs but I could not fit all three on one pan. Shaping the logs was challenging but I discovered that wet hands made shaping much easier. The hardest part of the recipe is the baking time, 50 minutes between the two bakes and in my case times two since I had to bake it on two pans. In hindsight I should have baked both pans at once but it was a last minute decision. Without me telling her my mother-in-law said “tastes like mandelbrot”. I guess it passed the German test. To see what others thought head over to Tuesdays with Dorie.
