Spice-Crusted Tuna

French Fridays with Dorie

I finished another recipe on my journey to complete Around My French Table by Dorie Greenspan. I had some nice tuna that I got from a friend who fishes and I picked this recipe. It is simple ingredients; seeds from cardamom pods, white peppercorns, coriander seeds, fresh ginger, salt, and olive oil. I had to make a few substitutions; black peppercorns and ground coriander as those were the ingredients I had. Somehow these combinations of spices did not work for us. I don’t know if it was the ground coriander that did it but my husband really hated this dish and couldn’t even finish his fish. I did not have quite the same reaction but my fish seemed to have less of the spices. Can’t win them all. Not deterred I look forward to other recipes I have tagged for summer cooking.

Hi Diane, I apologize for leaving this message in your comment section – please feel free to delete it – but I wanted to let you know that your blog, the one hosted by Blogger, has been cloned at eunicechefdotinfo. Perhaps you already know this and it was one of the reasons for switching to wordpress. My blog has been cloned as well. I discovered this when I did a google image search for a recipe from Baking Chez Moi and photos from our blogs appeared with different blog names. I’m following the steps outlined in this article: https://pigeonpairandmedotcom/what-to-do-if-your-blog-or-website-is-cloneddothtml
I just started the process last night so it’s too early to tell if it will work.
