Dorie’s Cookies

The savory cookies or cocktail cookies as Dorie calls them have been a hit or miss in my house. I was apprehensive about this one.

I recently cleaned out my spice drawer throwing away all expired spices. My smoked paprika was one of the casualties. I was confident that I could find smoked paprika again but after four stores I had to settle for regular paprika. I was able to find smoked almonds so I got one out of two items.

The dough for this cookie came together easy and just required one hour for chilling in the freezer. After slicing and baking, we enjoyed these smoky hearts. To see what others made head over to TWD.

    I was also apprehensive about these but my husband was thrilled with them…thinks they are addictive! I used both the smoked paprika and smoked almonds and he loves both. I think this may be a repeat…who knew???! Your cookies look lovely.
