Tuesdays with Dorie
Baking Chez Moi
Like many of my fellow bakers, I had trouble piping my ‘dough’, more like almond paste. The dough only moistened by one tablespoon of egg white needed much more to extrude through a piping bag. I also needed to bake mine longer than 8-10 minutes. Once baked, Dorie gives the options of dusting the cookies with more confectioners’ sugar or dipping with chocolate. Any time there is a chocolate option I am going to do it!
These were a tasty bite especially with a hot beverage. To see what others thought head over to TWD.
These cookies look great. Thanks for the tip about the dough.

These were tasty but definitely hard to pipe (actually impossible). I also went the chocolate route!

You did better than I did! I couldn't pipe them at all…ended up with rolled cookies! Still tasted fine but not the look we were going for haha!
