Almond Stripes

Tuesdays with Dorie
Baking Chez Moi

Like many of my fellow bakers, I had trouble piping my ‘dough’, more like almond paste. The dough only moistened by one tablespoon of egg white needed much more to extrude through a piping bag. I also needed to bake mine longer than 8-10 minutes. Once baked, Dorie gives the options of dusting the cookies with more confectioners’ sugar or dipping with chocolate. Any time there is a chocolate option I am going to do it!

These were a tasty bite especially with a hot beverage. To see what others thought head over to TWD.

  2. These were tasty but definitely hard to pipe (actually impossible). I also went the chocolate route!
