Cocoa-Tahini Cookies with Sesame Crunch

Tuesdays with Dorie
Dorie’s Cookies
We loved everything about these cookies. As soon as I took them out of the oven everyone ate two. This is my first time baking with tahini and it won’t be my last.
For the sesame crunch I decided to make from scratch since I could always use the practice of making caramel. It came out perfect and I was happy with the results. I think I chopped my crunch too fine as I barely noticed them in the cookie. Next time I will make bigger pieces.
The cookie dough is a wonderful blend of unsweetened cocoa powder and bittersweet chocolate. The surprise ingredient is tahini. I used semi-sweet chocolate chips as my add-in.
These were a wonderfully chocolate cookie with a surprise twist of tahini. Highly recommended. To see what others thought head over to TWD.

I like the colour of your cookies Diane, mine were so dark and intense I lost the tahini and sesame taste I love so much. Yours look fantastic.
