This week on French Fridays with Dorie, we made couscous salad (page 136). This was very reminiscent of another recipe I make called grilled lemon chicken with cilantro and almond couscous. Since we liked that recipe we were pretty sure we would like Dorie’s.
This ramped up couscous salad was a hit with me and my husband. My son does not like couscous. The addition of all the vegetables and other ingredients made this a wonderful recipe. I paired it with lemon grilled chicken and it made a great meal. I will definitely be making this one again.

I love a salad like this that's full of vegetables – yours looks so bright and colourful. I skipped the chicken, as I used quinoa in place of the couscous, but will have to try it in future.

I am really kicking myself that I didn't make the chicken like Dorie suggested – as I am now seeing it on so many Dorista's site and it looks FAB. Great job. This was a lovely recipe, no ? I will be coming back to this one again in the future.

Nice looking meal! I wish I'd had time to make the lemon chicken. I'll have to try that next time. It made a lot of salad, so it will be awhile before we finish it up.

Looks fantastic, I paired mine with chicken also, but mine was a roasted chicken from Costco. Nothing like taking the easy way out.

It was a huge success in our house also – though the leftovers may have overstayed their welcome a bit.
