Tilapia Meunière with Onion-Pecan Relish

Everyday Dorie page 188.

My husband is quite particular about the fish he likes so I let him take the lead on this one and he chose Tilapia. Traditional fish for this recipe is Flounder or Sole. I made the relish and my husband cooked the fish. We rounded out our meal with carrots and rice. Everyone liked this dish, it is not a way we would normally prepare fish and that was a good thing. We all enjoyed this new application of flouring the fish and cooking it in butter. The relish elevated the dish and I substituted walnuts for pecans. We deemed this restaurant worthy. I used tilapia, too, as it was much more budget-friendly at the moment. Yours looks delicious, and I love the carrots brightening it all up. Pecans would be delicious in this. I’ll give those a try next.
