New England Clam Chowder

It has been a while since I have made soup and I don’t think I have made clam chowder before. The hardest part was sourcing all the ingredients including the oyster crackers. My family wanted the traditional recipe as oppose to Dorie’s version. This came together pretty easy the only work was chopping the vegetables. Everyone loved this including my son who I don’t think has had clam chowder before. My husband and mother-in-law declared it the best soup they have had, high praises indeed. I think this will be a repeat in my house. To see what others thought head over to Cook the Book Fridays.
