When I saw these Vanilla Polka Dots come up for nomination on Tuesdays with Dorie, I knew I needed to start hunting for pearl sugar. This group made another recipe with pearl sugar but I forgot which recipe and I was unable to find it. This time I was determined to get the right ingredient. After much searching, I found this Belgian pearl sugar which is much bigger than the Swedish sugar but I thought good enough.
This recipe is quite easy and goes quickly. It starts with Do-Almost-Anything vanilla cookie dough , which then gets rolled into balls, covered with pearl sugar, and pressed into a flat cookie. After twenty minutes of baking you have cookies! These are sweet cookies especially with my bigger pearl sugar but were liked by all. To see what others made head over to Tuesdays with Dorie.
These look great. I will have to hunt for pearl sugar.
