Chocolate Truffles

Chocolate is my favorite flavor and I have never met a truffle that I didn’t like. Ina’s chocolate truffles were easy to execute and delicious to eat.
Ina uses a combination of bittersweet and semisweet chocolate. I substituted my trusty Trader Joe’s dark chocolate which I believe is 60-70% cocoa. Along with heavy cream the flavors added are Grand Marnier liqueur, coffee and vanilla extract. I left out the Grand Marnier since I was giving them to someone who does not drink. I rolled the chocolate using a one teaspoon scoop which is a nice bite. The only trouble I had was rolling them in powdered sugar after they had been rolled in cocoa powder. The powdered sugar would not stick.

    I made a similar chocolate truffle. Used the same dark chocolate. Like your two tone truffles.


  3. Biting into a chocolate truffle is probably my favorite thing. They can be dangerous to my hips to keep around, hahaha.
